Tell me if I got this Right…

💻 The latest 404 error on your website builder of choice is flashing its blue light of death into your retinas at 3am while you contemplate if your could just paint a website instead??

🧃 The constant urge to flip your desk over and peace out of the 9-5 corporate girlie life is get stronger and stronger. You just want to sell your collages at the farmers market, but you don’t know if your landlord will accept stickers for rent.

⛺️You feel like you need to block of at least 6 weeks in your calendar, throw your phone into a river and move to a cabin in the woods to be able to finally write your novel.

🥶 Each time you feel like you find the answer, launch the thing and get more seasoned at your craft the harder it becomes to sustain and you just need to subscribe to Big Tech Bro capitalism and girlboss your way up the oppression/capitalism ladder to start to break even.

🔬 You’ve had 5809290 brilliant ideas already today, but all the little things that you need to do to make the thing suck the life and enjoyment of actually bringing the idea to life!

🤢 The concept of a “personal brand” knits your eyebrows into a a sweater that requires 80 cc’s of botox to unravel.

Wanting to turn your art into a thing that feeds your soul and your belly isn’t selfish or foolish. Art isn’t just your art so of course it is gonna feel petrifying/overwhelming/precarious -insert reason your 7th grade teacher told you being an artist was silly here-

Like it makes sense why it feels so dang hard to follow that spark on an idea into a thing that pays the bills *gestures vaguely around at the dumpster fire of the world *

BUT! I think it is worth it AND! I don’t think we need to divorce ourselves from our ethics, values or sensation and sign up to Big Tech Bro Capitalism to be able to make and sell our artwork. In-fact I think if we take that same ✨spark✨ of creativity to business there is a lot more ease/peace/joy /dream artist life that can be found 🤸‍♀️If that sounds like fun, I’d love for you to join us, here’s how we do it 👇

Phoebe helped me reclaim my title as poet.  I feel like I've healed part of myself and continue to be more optimistic and expansive when it comes to my artistry and business. I feel like I can actually be an artist and make a living doing what I love.

TAYLOR // The Idea Haven

Phoebe gave me the permission that I could have a business and talk about my business in a way that feels good to me. I can speak about the transformation I provide in a poetic way + I really love the Notion workbooks. I've revisited them I'm as I add on to my business.

KAYA HAMPTON // COACH

PHOEBE IS PHOENIX FIRE PERSONIFIED (a phoenix crossed with a rubber chicken, actually) I learned that Art + Biz doesn’t have to be a big scary endeavour to branch out to work on your own, and it doesn’t have to be an overnight success - or even a "success" at all. EVERYTHING IS AN EXPERIMENT.

 Questions that usuAlly come up!

  • Listen, I am not in the business of telling you what to do. Like, ever.

What I think you might ask youre self is is “Is my BUSINESS ready for this?” and “Who do I want to be and how do I want to feel after this experience”.

Wanting to get paid for our art doesn’t means we need to “take our art seriously” but it does re-frame our craft as something that can fuel us.

So if the answer is “to feel like I have a path, direction, clarity and understanding of how I want to run my business as an artists and creative entrepreneur” . You’re in the right place.

  • I use the word art and artist in the broad expansive way. I think that word actually means!

So if your question is “I don’t sell paintings is this right for me?” but you are a creative business person trying to grow you seed of an idea into a thing that sustains you – you are welcome here (and I make also just call you an artist 😉)

We will not be hiding away from selling, pricing, and being seen sharing our art with the world. We will be approaching the scary feels all the stuff brings up with compassion and love and curiosity.

  • I only take on a certain amount of clients at a time, to build a business that supports me inside of capitalism I do not offer refunds on any of my 1:1 services, this includes Creative Compass.

  • Ooo! How exciting! Not knowing is just as powerful as any knowing. Showiing up to the blank canvas can be scary but also! SO MANY POSSIBILITES!

AND! This is exactly what we will uncovering and crafting the direction we want to move in – so maybe our starting place is somewhere lofty and not concrete. This is the power of moving together.🌈
